Serjio Brereda, CNP
Fund Development Manager
Serjio is an avid nonprofit professional in the Greater Houston area in Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Houston, with a focus in Nonprofit Management to earn his Certified Nonprofit Professional credentials with their Nonprofit Leadership Alliance program. Serjio has been in the sector for over seven years, working in a variety of nonprofits, from local to national organizations in various capacities. In addition to his work with Envisioning Access, he is the Accounting Assistant for Camp For All Foundation where he assists the Finance team with the organization’s accounting and financial responsibilities. He helps with a broad base of finance and accounting responsibilities: financial reporting, journal entries, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Prior to this role, Serjio was their Donor Relations Coordinator where he managed the organization’s donor data infrastructure with various web-based platforms, from data maintenance and gift processing to pulling and analyzing various reports.

Outside of his career, Serjio is an active member with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) of Greater Houston, serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of the Valiant Life Foundation as Treasurer and Navidad En El Barrio. Serjio is attending the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University – Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) to earn a Master’s degree in Philanthropic Studies.
In his spare time, Serjio enjoys spending time with his family and reflecting on a good book. His favorite author is Mitch Albom, and he has read all of his books, though there is one he reads once a year, “Tuesdays with Morrie”.
