Bridging Barriers
Providing support for tech-start-ups so they may revolutionize innovative tech for those living with physical disabilities.
These new technologies will allow adults to:
- Find meaningful employment
Everyone no matter who they are should be able to be employed. New technologies will make that possible. - Attain higher education
Education – whether a high school diploma, college degree or higher is attainable and provides the means to higher level employment. Technology provides opportunities to participate in classroom instruction without being on a campus if it is not fully accessible. - Alleviate isolation
Society is aging. Often older adults, especially those reaching 85+ may not be as mobile as younger individuals. Thus, this age group is isolated. Those with mobility limiting disabilities may also be isolated – technology will provide opportunities to alleviate that isolation and make one feel like they are together with family and friends.
