Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers adds 2 new Board Members

Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers of Boston, MA has named Jill Rocca and Keith Tomlinson to its Board of Directors as the organization undertakes a dynamic transformation from providing a service animal model — a capuchin monkey — to exploring specific technologies, including robotic and mixed reality to assist those living with mobility disabilities.
Jill Rocca is an occupational therapist. Her background includes physical rehabilitation and community-based practice, robotics, and animal-assisted therapy. She currently works part-time at Tufts University coordinating occupational therapy admissions and recruitment outreach.
As a former employee, Rocca is very familiar with the work of Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers and is very excited about the future direction of the organization.
When working at Helping Hands, Jill was a placement specialist for five years. Her role involved screening applicants and traveling to each monkey placement. Jill looks forward to using her history at Helping Hands to help propel the organization forward into the new area of technology.
She received both her post-professional masters and doctoral degrees from Tufts University Department of Occupational Therapy.
Keith Tomlinson is a Senior Director of Engineering and Architecture at Akamai Technologies, where he leads the vision, definition, and execution of Akamai’s innovation by creating the future state technology vision and overseeing the development of relevant multi-year strategies and roadmaps for the company.
Tomlinson joined Akamai in 2011 and since then has built a global organization delivering technical solutions that maximize platform stability, scalability, efficiency, security, and profitability. In addition, he partners closely with company product leaders to advise on potential investments and go-to-market strategies. Prior to Akamai, Keith held a number of technical and management consulting positions across the technology, media, telecommunications, and financial services industries.
He holds Bachelors of Science degrees in both technology and applied mathematics and statistics from Montclair State University.
